A story of passion

It all began with a steam engine and an alternator, which, once they started running in the early
20th century, just refused to stop ...

In 1996, the Museum became an "Approved Museum" and is now a "Museum of France", in recognition of the quality of its collections, which have grown gradually since the early 1980s and now cover two broad areas:
- industrial objects relating to the generation, distribution and use of electricity ;
- objects from day-to-day life
